A couple of weeks ago I was talking about tea, from Harrods or from
Malaysia's Cameron Highlands. Seems I don't have to travel to London to
buy Harrods tea, at least. It is readily available in David Jones Food
Hall, along with many other top shelf brands.
aaaah, I feel a trip to David Jones food hall is in order.
ReplyDeleteFen, I was surprised how busy it was.
ReplyDeleteHello Andrew:
ReplyDeleteSomewhat surprisingly there is now a fully fledged Harrods at Gatwick Airport. Why go to London at all?
JayLa, I like London and I doubt very much I would find anything very nice about Gatwick, Harrods or not.
DeleteThere looks to be too much to choose from. I wonder which one you will go for in the end.
ReplyDeleteFun60, we so rarely drink tea, so when we buy it, it lasts a long time. We are still drinking this tea, http://highriser.blogspot.com.au/2012/08/i-am-republican-but.html
DeleteI suppose the basis of good advertising is great packaging. The colours stand out in a crowded tea market. Remember how boring Bushells used to be?
ReplyDeleteTerribly so Hels. I buy wine because I like the label. Bushells was boring and it must have been cheap as it was always used at functions. Our family bought Robur, and it had the wonderful bird cards in it.
DeleteI'd select the type I liked (eg Lady Grey) and then, depending on the price, pick the packet that looked the prettiest!
ReplyDeleteLady Grey Kath? Have you grey on your mind? You haven't been reading 'that' book have you? Price is usually not a bad indicator in the case of foodstuffs, making allowances for a top brand name, for which you pay a premium.
DeleteSee? Cheaper tea! Because you don't have to pay airfares....
ReplyDeleteRiver, if I could be bothered checking, I would wager it is cheaper for me to buy Harrods tea over the internet from Harrods and have it posted here than it would be to buy it at David Jones.
DeleteAndrew just for me you have to try T2's Melbourne Breakfast tea, it is too good!
ReplyDeleteGrace, I've wondered about T2. Must check where it comes from.
